im not mad about the damage, the thing thats so is pissing when after its repainted, u can always tell that that section has been repainted when the sun is on it(well if u got good eyes)
does this bother anyone? i can really notice the mismatch paint on like mostly all bodykits these days too with my attention to detail and is pissing the hell out of me

Well one fix would be to re-paint the whole car.. everything will match and you also don't have to worry about Nissan's horrible thin paint job - less chips in the paint.

But yeah, I know.. expensive as hell.. but its a good fix!

yea i figured as a temporary fix, might aswell let them do the "normal procedure", heck theyre human and its gonna be hard to match anyways right?

what u mentioned is exactly what me and my g/f have discussed, it might be better off to beat the crap out of the paint now since my bumper aswell is chipping and eventually paint it a different colour and maybe switch to a widebody

The other shop is now shut down that painted my car in the first place.
damn man that sucks, repaiting is one thing, but when it barely matches, it hurts
usually its understood that it wont be 100%, but atleast it should be close yea?
good to hear that ur new shop will take care of it, i think they will probably try to blend it to make it match

not if u take it to a good shop and you specify that they use PPG brand paint, then the paint match will be perfectly OEM

the paint will match, but sometimes paints get faded, light scratches, etc. Have them blend it into the rest of the car...it will cost a bit more but look 100x better

Like I've said in numerous other threads the brand of paint doesn't have jack **** to do with how well it matches. Getting paint to match is all in the person mixing the paint. I don't care if you're using $70/quart paint or $150/quart paint, if the guy doesn't know how to mix then the paint will not match.

It is impossible to match because most likely you are getting it hand painted as opposed to the factory machine paint. Also this is the only solution to the orange peel/paint chips. If no one else can tell besides you then don't worry too much about it.

It's impossible to exactly match which has nothing to do with wether it was painted by a machine or not, but you can get it close enough that absolutely noone will know it. The only solution to orange peel is wetsanding and buffing which can be done on the factory paint.
