Is the big vent on the Seibon VSII hood water-proof? Are there water guards?

 

No, I believe only the TS comes with rain guards

 

i dont have rain gaurds with my TS should i be concerned? (i havent installed the hood yet)

 

My hood never came with rain guards. Do you have rain guards in stock? Thanks. Been driving the car in the rain many times and so far no problem.

 

I dont have the guards in stock, they come with the hood. Dont worry though you shouldn't have ANY problems without rainguards. Water can not hurt your engine by entering through the vent.

 

I know...but it's getting rusting and dirty in the engine bay. Plus my turbo is right under the vent. If you can order just the rain guards, I would like to get them. Let me know. Thanks.

 

did you buy your hood new or used? If it was new I would go to the place you bought it and ask for the rain guards. If it was used I will call Seibon Tuesday and see if I can purchase them seperatly.

I bought it new...but it doesn't come with rain guards. I think most of them don't come with rain guards iirc. Please if you can order them...i would like to purchase from you. Thanks.

 

I have the covers on my hood and yes it came with the hood...They come of when the super charger and the egine bay gets to hot and trust me the open vents work...On the other hand the covers keeps it clean and dry.....Here's a pic, I painted them to match the car..

 

If it was authentic Seibon it should have came with rain guards. Check for the seibon stamp on the underside of the hood.
