Thats probably just the look of the headlight, because if you look at bmw's lights when their parked or even driving by them you can notice that when you move around them they change from colors such as blue, green, purple, and white.
It's because of the crystals in the projector's lens themselves that causes the colors. This is why the light emitted on the ground is white, while the light you see towards YOU is blueish/purple.
This is also a good way to determine people having HID-conversions or the real thing.
