Default Paint on bumper starting to crack and peal.

I read some people were having problems with this on their Z's as well. After a while the paint just starts to crack and will eventually peal the more you drive it.

If i take it to my Nissan Dealer would they repaint the spots on my bumper that are beginning to peal?

I didn't hit anything, car hasnt been in an accident.

Basically is this covered under warrant and has this been an issue for any members here?

When my wife had her sentra I had some paint start to come off my mirrors when I was washing it and I took it to the dealer and they had it repainted for free.

Wow is this the normal kind of feedback members of this site give?

Of course I can go and just take it to the dealer, but some of us don't have the time to take it to the dealer, ever think of that? I will eventually make time but I didn't think it would hurt to ask whether or not people have had the same problem with their Z's when it comes to the paint starting to peal.

Is it cracking on the front bumper? Have you been scraping or hitting the bottom of the bumper? If so, it's probably because the bumper is made out of flexible plastic. If pressure continues in one spot, the paint will eventually crack or spider out.

Actually paint is pretty flexible. It would take a pretty good hit to make a bumper cover's paint to crack.

But it doesn't matter what members here tell you, you still have to take it to the dealer to get a decision, and you still have to take it to the dealer to have them fix it.

No one here KNOWS the specifics of your problem, and no one here KNOWS what your dealer's response is going to be.
