hey does anyone have a carbon fiber hood for their Z? How do u like it and how much was it?

Kamanari has one for around $600-$700 I believe---others are more close to $900+ but IO'm sure better quality then the above?

I think Kaminari's lists for $895, not $600-$700. Their FRP hood goes for $590 or around there list.

honestly, whats the point of a cf hood on a z...the z already has an aluminum hood which is pretty damn light, i tink someone posted before a cf hood woould weigh like a whole4 or 5lbs less...900 bucks for savin 5lbs??

Well i can see getting the kaminari hood becouse the engine bay really gets hot.

i think it just for show i guess , and just like the combination between your body color and carbon fiber hood

I wouldnt replace my hood, but just out of curiosity does anyone make a fiberglass hood. I bet it would be close to the same weight, and alot cheaper. Unless you just want the look, and if thats the case get some of that stick on crap. I think the hoods light enough.
