Default Replacing my shift **** with nismo c/f, need help

The instructions say to clamp a wrench around the "shift lever" I'm not sure exactly what it's referring too. Can someone point out in the attached photos where I'm supposed to clamp the wrench to hold the shift-lever in place while I rotate the shift ****?

You need to clamp on to the shifter shaft. The factory shift **** has some strong glue holding it in place so you have to turn it real hard to break the adhesion and then unscrew it. If you don't secure the shift shaft and you just turn the **** real hard you may hurt the shifter linkage. Search around here, I think I've seen pics.

Overall, I like the nismo **** better. It's not as comfortable to rest your hand on as the stock **** but shifts feels more positve with the nismo. It's hard to miss a gear with the nismo, and I like the slightly shorter throw from the nismo.
