from what i have heard, you need a pretty big compressor or it will notcome out right since you have to waitso long forit to recharge between coats. Maybe since thefront lip is such a small piece as far as square volume, you could get away with say a 15 gallon tank. I just dont know about color matching.

Remember to try to keep a controlled environment when spraying and while its drying/hardening. You dont want any dust on there!

15 gallons compressor?!
I use a 2 gallon Home Depot compressor. Anest Iwata LPH300 paint gun with a 1.3mm tip, PPG base/clear, 10 psi at the cap and 20 inline. Get a good spray gun and respirator. If you use a quality HVLP you won't need high pressure nor a large amount of air supply.

Iv painted many components and complete vehicles but I started when I was 12 and 30 + yrs has passed since then. I dont call myself a Paint and Body man, but I know more than many that call themselves that.
I could write a 100 page DIY book on painting a front lip, but experience is going to determain the outcome of it. Only way to lay down a durable Biatchin finish is to Fock up a few times.
Key elements are---A good HVLP Gun, A good moisture free air supply, An "Operating Room" atmosphere, A talent to lay paint, A knowledge of paints-primers-additives, Wet sanding and Buffing technics, and ----almost forgot---PATIENCE.
If u got 80% of that , u can paint ur Own front lip.
