I was out at the Towers meet down here is South Fla and noticed for the same time : there is no light under the hood!

(This would be classified as an "interior" issue, right?)

Anyway, knowing the crafty people we have around here, any ideas for something clean and usefull... Maybe we can steal something from a more sofisticated Nissan or Infinity.

I guess I haven't had a lot of reasons to open the hood at night...

 

hi i live in palm beach and where about towers alot where exactlly are the meets? because theres not much action goin on in north palm beach?

 

my guess, would be to grab any exterior type light, your choice, a side marker light would be fine.

mount it where you want it on the hood, then run a wire down, and install a momentary switch, they sell them in ace hardware, where they are on when up, and off when depressed. so when the hood is closed, power is off, open it and its on.

a little creative handy work under the hood and it shouldnt be too difficult, just gotta find a good place to mount it and have the switch be contacted just right.

only problem is Im not sure if the switch will like being outside... with a bit of searching on the net, you could probably find a weatherproof version.
