Default 06 HID headlights install on Base model...

Ok...I went to a few junk yards and I couldnt find any 8 pin plugs on any nissans in my area. Since its hard for me to go to junkyards b/c their hours are during my same work hours, I have been thinking about doing this other ways....but Im not sure if they are as safe.(not blowing the headlight, fuses, other electrical systems)
Should I use some quick connectors w/metal strip to connect them? That way Im not cutting any wires...but I didnt know if this is a good way of making full contact.
Or, find 2 8 pin plugs (male and female) and splice end to headlights and body harness and connect. (Does anyone know where to find 8 pin plugs...I have been to NAPA, autozone, and radio shak..no luck
Or, I coud just use buttplugs and heatshrink.

I could search the junk yards again, but I really need to get the car back on the road for work. Would these other ways be just as effective and safe?

Im working on the same project you are with the same SB MY05 as well. I went to Frye's Electronics for female pin connectors that are close to the stock ones. Got the special pliers to make them plug up. Made my own connectors by molding the stock 06 harness clip. Still work in progress. Blue is silicon mold and white connector is prototype. Let me know if you have any luck. I did not want to chop everything up so Im making my own harness with stock fitting connectors.

I tried searching on Frye's website for those plugs. If I can find any male and female 8 pin plugs, and I might just splice those into the headlight and body harness and use those instead of the nissan plugs.

Yah that's probably the best way.
