now i wish i was able to see something that clear b 4 i did mine... when i did mine i just did it as i saw it on the rs concept and i didnt have a very clear pic of it as well but any way its done now i dont think it looks bad at all and the as long as it serves the perpuse it was made for in the first place which i think it will... heheh or at least i hope so nice pics and thanx for sharing....

How ever i think i have 1 smart thing i did is that i sprayed the supportings inside black just like the net so it doesnt show that its there coz without the supports as it shows in the above pics the hood fenders which r made after cuting it r very twitchy and bendable and could get dameged very easily...

No, yours certainly doesn't look bad at all. Just a lesson to search in the future, perhaps; the threads I referenced (specifically the link I posted in that thread), templates and those pics have been around for several months.

Ah, I see; so you left the supports intcat and just notched them with the slats ans painted them? Good idea. Can you post a pic of the inside of your hood?

The frailty of the vents is the main thing that has kept me from doing this, though in the pics I posted, it looks like the way the mesh is attached, IT helps support them.

I've seen another one where a guy did it to an OEM style CF hood, them painted it to match the car. No rigidity issues that way.

i will posting pics of the whole car and the project next Sat or Sun coz there is still work being done as well as i will try to get the dyno #s with this post, I perssonaly can't w8 hehehe...
