Default Center console rattle..Help!

Hey guys this rattle(where the 3 gauge cluster sits) is driving me crazy. I recently got the Injen Super SES exhaust (which I love ) but it has made the rattle even worse. Is there anything any of you have done to fix this? My rear view mirror has been a rattle monster as well but I'm just thinking of switching it out to fix that problem. The rattle from the center gauge cluster seems to stop if I put pressure on top of the right corner..any ideas? Thanks in advance for any solutions

my 03 had the same rattle in the exact location but it was fixed under warranty earlier last year. The dealer said the tech had to insulate it. The rattle was quite loud....more like a semi truck.

There is no shortcut to rattles and seldomly can someone tell u what has to be done. All u can do is familiarize urself with the disassembly of the area to be addressed and figure it out. some well placed and neatly placed silicon will sometimes help or just making sure ur snaps are all clicked into place---Its trial and error.
Im not bothered by most dash rattles myself so I really dont hear them or pay attention to them. But if ur obsessed, go to the source.

Just take the console off and put very thin weather stripping along the edges.

You can find some at pep boys.

That's what the dealer would do.

Also check the plastic wire cover on the windshield for the homelink. Sometimes those rattle too.

Thanks for the thoughts guys. I read some more threads on rattling and saw where somebody put a thin black cloth between the dash and winshield above the gauge cluster and it worked for them. I got some thin black foam and lined it behind the dash the same way and doubled up on it to make sure it was real tight. Sure enough it worked I took my rearview mirror off but couldn't see how to open up the freak'n thing. Oh well, thats the next rattle to tackle.

If I may, with apologies to the OP, borrow this thread, I cannot, for the life of me, get my dash to snap back in place. I remember it taking quite a bit of effort to get out to put my head unit in, and can't seem to get it to go back in. So I am also getting this annoying buzz as a consequence. Can anyone offer me a suggestion as well?

***On the rearview mirror, I have the same rattle and it seems to me to be coming from the electronics hookup on the backside of the mirror, looks like a big version of a telephone cable, anyway havent got it to stop yet but that might help you in locating it.
