Default From Taiwan - got my CF hood, but has cracks...

After a long wait and travel across the Pacific to Taiwan, I finally received my Seibon VSII hood, fenders, and Blitz spoiler (the spoiler traveled the Pacific twice - from Japan to Cali to Taiwan). I opened the box with excitement, then noticed cracks at the left side of the hood. My bodyshop said the cracks could be covered by paint. With CF hood being a rarity here and the shop does have much experience dealing with CF, could somebody give me some pointers? The bodyshop also said a painted CF hood is easier to get rock chips, is it so?

BTW, Seibon and Blitz quality is excellent.

I will be installing the parts and quad exhaust tips in the next few weeks.

Yeah where did you get it? I would like to know the answer to this question also since they are so hard to come by in the states. And how much NT did it set you back?

Where in Taiwan are you located?

CF hoods are pretty common in TW Piao-Che crowds nowadays. Look up "Hong Jang" or "Hong Hsing" .... they are in the outskirts of Taipei. These companies are known of CF products. The hood can be fixed by opening up the cracks and filled with clear resin. Low grit sand paper, then buff ot shine. Good luck!

They must be cheaper because every time I go back I see guys carrying parts on the plane as carry-ons. My concerns are for the parts too big to carry. International shipping might offset the discount of the sales price....LOL I just realized that this thread is systematically identifying all the Taiwanese members...

I ordered the Blitz spoiler from Intensepower (http://www.intensepower.com/blresp35.html). The ETA was 4 weeks, but it took 6 weeks to arrive at my friend's place in Cali. Although it was late, but Darren at Intensepower was helpful to track and keep me informed of the status. Kudos to Intensepower. I imported all my mod parts (wheels/tires/plenum spacer/CAI/cat-back/sway bar/rotors/brake pads/aero package...) from US. I don't pay shipping charge because I can piggyback in my friend's (who is an importer) container. Taiwan has CF parts, but their quality is no where near Seibon. Plus, there are virtually no 350Z aftermarket parts here.

Taiwan has virtually no 350Z aftermarket parts because Taiwan has virtually no 350Zs. Everybody in Taipei who's rich enough to buy nice cars go for the BMW and the Mercedes. I was in Hong Kong for about a month during August and the whole time there I saw only 1 Super Black A/T 350Z. Some girl was in it talking on the phone parked on the side of the street in Kowloon. Also, correct me if I am wrong but Taiwan doesn't get the G35 coupe (Skyline). For the common man the streets are still filled with Hondas, Suzuki, and Nissans like the March and X-Trail....oh yeah the scooters...don't forget the sea of scooters. I think the human to scooter ratio in in Taipei is like 1:2.

Glad to see your parts finally arrived, Sorry to hear about the damage to the hood. I tried my best to pack it extra well. Could you please E-mail me some pictures of those fenders installed?

Not really!. We got many Zs in Taiwan, and we even had a Z club.

We got car meet every weekend.

Besides, Taiwan does have G35 Coupe.

In Taiwan, they also had a large VQ35 club call "555 club". Stand for Fx35, M35, G35/C. and many of them got supercharge.

That G35 is supoer clean, now it just needs some wheels. Some VOLK Time Attacks would be sick.

Imagine drive the Z through the streets of Taipei. Ohh man... must be worst then the time I saw a G-Wagon being rear ended by a taxi in Tai-Chung.
