Default Need ideas on keeping things put in the glove box

I need some ideas on how to keep things from sliding around in the glovebox (namely my car computer). It's in a metal box around the size of a hard cover book and then there's the usb hub, etc. Anyone got any good ideas?

Go to Walmart or a fabric store, and just get some kitchen shelf/drawer liner. There is some available that has a textured, rubberized surface, that prevents things from slipping. The stuff is about 1/16" thick, and it would work perfectly. For example, in a kitchen cabinet, if you have a plate sitting on top of this stuff, it would be difficult to pull the plate out by sliding...you would have to lift it up.

make a template from cardboard

trace on 1/4" or 5/8" mdf

cut to fit

make raised dividers out of wood on top
upholster with carpet and 3m aerosol adhesive

staple if you want on the backside side

like a puppy i would beat it til it stays put....kidding.....i would take a 1/4" thick piece of MDF and 1/4" by 1/4" square dowels. Cut the dowels to the size of each component and screw or liquid nail them so that you make a compartmentalized "amp rack" for them
