i think this would be sweet but is there anyway to do it?

That is really awesome. All you have to do is basically take the green film out of that section and use a black permanent market outlining a "Z". It is just very tedious opening all the panels up.

have you opened that up and seen the green film? any instructions on how to get to it?

Not so. Blinkers were a new additional for '06. 03-05 owners have been buying the '06 dash for that reason alone.

Most auto manufacturers use the same type of color filter that stage lights use. They also use a yellowish white bulb type. I haven't seen the z's color filter personally, but thats what a green color filter looks like. It is transparent and light can pass through it.
