Default Light came on in traffic

I've tried to locate this via a search but was unsuccessful. Yesterday while in heavy traffic I saw a light come on on the lower right quadrant of the speedo that when lit said "Slip" what does this mean? The clutch is slipping? Please advise. It has never come on before and I was wondering if maybe my foot still had the clutch a little depressed.

That light only comes on when I make a sharp turn during some "spirited" driving!

It comes on when your tires slip w/ vdc on. It's there to let you know your car had broken traction.

Default RE:Slip light

When I bought my Z in December 2005 there was no owner's manual. The Nissan dealer promised me they would get me one and after three calls and a year I'm still waiting. Thanks for the other comments though on what the light means.

Wbranch do you have stock tires on the car? if so its getting mighty cold here in PA and when the stock summer tires are driven in cold weather they get extremely hard and slip very easily. When the slip light comes on the tires are loosing traction and the TCS cuts power to the rear wheels. If you plan on driving your Z in any cold/wet/snowy situations you will need snow tires or else you will kill yourself.

Edit: youve had your car for a year now and you've never seen the SLIP light?????? you must drive like a grandma.
