Default OEM style CF hood . . .

I know Seibon makes one, but all I've been hearing about the quality and fitment of Seibon is that they are ****t quality.

Are there any other OEM style CF hoods that have excellent, and won't crack/peel. I don't like any aftermarket styling I see right now but I need a hood replacement so any help would be appreciated.

I just got a Fiber Images hood (OEM style) from a member on this board. Fit is 99% and color/print is awesome. The only thing is I can't get the hood to latch. Other than that, I'm very happy with it.

Well I'm not a fan of latches, it DOES work with the stock support bar right?

BTW, what's the weight difference? Can you feel it?

And where can I get this hood? A Vendor?

if you're looking for weight savings, you won't really find it with a CF hood, 'cause the stock aluminum hood is very light already...1-2 lbs. tops if you're lucky

Seibon fitment on OEM hoods is awsome. I dont know where your hearing the fitment is off. Here's one a customer of mine just installed. I dont know where people are getting that fitment on the Seibon hoods are bad. I've sold a bunch of 350z hoods and the only problem with fitment is with aftermarket parts rubbing on the underside. Here's a picture of members Seibon OEM just installed and fitment looks great to me.

I have had Seibon owners (their 350Z hoods) say that the Seibon hood is prone to peeling, and that what they saw was CF layered over Fiberglass. Not the best of quality?!

of course it's carbon fiber over fiberglass...its wet carbon. If you want dry carbon expect to pay $900+ for a dry hood. The best hood for the price is Seibon. Your other choices are VIS, Carbon Creations, and Fiber Images which are all the same price as Seibon and worse quality.

To each their own. I've sold all 4 companies so I have a bit more experience then most, but at the same time I'm a bit biased.
