Rear hatch too heavy w/ new wing?
I had the INGS LX wing installed the the hatch is too damn heavy now. Believe it or not, helf the time it ends up falling on my head when I'm digging around in the drunk. How the hell do I fix this? Is there a way to tweak the supports so that they require more pressure to be applied before the hatch goes down?

We sell the left and right for 99 each.
One is probably strong enough, But I would suggest the set.

There was another recommendation a while back about a place you could send your stock struts to and they would re-build them to be stronger for way less $$$ than the upgraded OEM struts cost. Search around.
I have a Nismo wing and had the same problem as you. I worked with a supplier I deal with at work and was able to get some heavier duty struts to hold up my hatch with the wing installed.
I have some business trips, but will most likely become a site vendor next month when I get back. PM me if you are interested, and I can hold a group buy when I become a vendor.
Oh and to answer your original question, the OEM struts don't have any adjustment. They are not rated to hold the weight of a hatch and a spoiler, so the only solution is to get new struts, or prop your hatch open.

I just installed my struts I bought from jtabraham and they work great! Or should I say 1 works great! I put the VS spoiler on and had the same prob as did d!abolic. Damn that hurt when it hit my head!
So I read a post by jtabraham and PM'd him and WaaaLaaa he sent them to me ASAP and I'm good! And at a very reasonable price too!
I only needed one side to help it stay up like OEM, so I'm keeping the other one if this gets weak down the road.
One suggestion tho......buy the new upper and lower ball joints and make it easy on yourself! The dremel method is time consuming, and when you try to remove the upper ball joint you will most likely strip the bolt part with the open end wrench!
Much easier to cut it off with a dremel at the ball shank portion and just bolt in a new upper ball end. Just my .02 cents!
Thanks jtabraham.......appreciated!

Same Problem When I put on a Nismo Spoiler .. When Working out of Trunk I have a small Plastic clamp to put around the Strut.. New Struts are Real Price'y ..Thought about maching a small spring loaded ball or snapring type setup on the stock strut ..probably better to just pay the freight and buy a heavy dudy rear hatch strut ??
I have a nismo Spolier and about 3 layers of dyno mat on the trunk. Is there any industrial strength Shock? If i dropped the trunk on my head I would probably end up in the hospital. It's really heavy.
