I have a seibon oem hood. I noticed the other day that there are a bunch of dipples all over the top of the hood. Is this a normality with carbon hoods? How can I get rid of them?

Someone else recently purchased a Seibon cf hood and didnt have much luck with the quality. You can try contacting the vender, but from what I've heard regarding cf, you cant do much to fix it and its something you have to live with when you buy cf.

 

I don't know if it's normal but mine has a couple right in the middle. I have the Seibon VT hood though. Just have to live with it or paint it.

 

Pictures would help explain it alittle better. What do you mean by "dimples"?

 

i have one and dont have any ripples in mine. guess all hoods are indeed created different.

 

Its hard to take pics of it. You cant really see it in pictures. You have to look at the hood and you will be able to see it. Its like someone took a bunch of marbles and through them on top of the hood. The hood is about 2 years old. I doubt the vendor is going to do anything. I would hate to paint because I like the way it looks. If I to paint it that will be my last resort.
