you can't use a harness without a harness bar or rollcage

um, what part of that did you not understand? seems pretty clear to me that you can not use a harness without a harness bar or a roll cage. that is what the harness is designed for.

If you don't have a harness bar or a roll bar, pull the harnesses all the way back, wrap them around the the rear strut bar and tie a knot.

And what a stupid statement is that

There are diffrent ways to set up a harness

1.use eye bolts
2.use roll bar,roll cage

stupid? all i did was repeat what Z1 said, you need the harness bar or roll cage for the harness to work. no sheisse you have to use the eye bolts in the floor, that was not the discussion. so next time you go and make a post saying you "just got to find the eyebolts", be sure you know what the topic of the thread actually is first.

and so you know there is only one way to install a harness bar, and that is the right way.

a couple years ago i restored an old bronco, someone actually built a rollcage out of pvc pipe covered in rollbar padding! just when you think you've heard it all...

Not arguing that its better then nothing, but the Cusco cage is basically a show piece. I know none of the tracks around me will accept a bolt in chromoly cage, its either DOM or go slow.

If you are serious enough to need a cage, then you should know that you need welded DOM. If its just for a show car or a place to mount harnesses on a street car (why you'd need harnesses on a street car I dont know, but regardless) then the cusco will suffice.

FWIW if your looking for a bolt-in cage/rollbar to strap your harnesses to, the Cusco is definitely not the most ideal choice as it does not have a built in harness bar. If you are not planning on running harnesses then it will be perfectly fine for a street/show car.

If running a harness(es) is part of your plan than the Kirk or Autopower Rollbars might be a better alternative.

I thought it had an optional harness bar piece?

If it doesn't, aside from putting it in a show car, I can't see any purpose for it at all.
