If you are serious enough to need a cage, then you should know that you need welded DOM. If its just for a show car or a place to mount harnesses on a street car (why you'd need harnesses on a street car I dont know, but regardless) then the cusco will suffice.

yea i didn't know that NONE of the racing organizations would accept a bolted in cage. At first i thought it was just a couple of the more serious racing organizations. Anyhow in order to remedy it i am going to have it welded (should be fairly easy).

If it doesn't, aside from putting it in a show car, I can't see any purpose for it at all.

there is an optional bar for the cusco cage; however, it's not good for anything ... well you could possibly mount a camera on it, but that's about it.

the optional bars as mentioned are not designed to be harness bars

I also have the rear carbon bar and it's definitely not for harnesses.
I purchased a set of short Takatas and plan on running the Sparco bar underneath, might have to fab a little but should fit fine. The cage really ****ed up my seatbelts and they no longer retract without the bar getting in the way.

you might get away with it if you weld it for some of the racing orgs, i know that the bars are not thick enough for nasa.
