Default this weeks project is finaly done

I needed a place to mount some switches for my leds, foglights and underdash neons and also didn't feel like having my g-meter stuck to my windsheild so i made this. I made the mount out of wood and then wrapped it in a leather looking vinyl. What do you guys think. And for all the flamers, if you don't like it don't just say its gay, tell me why you don't like it.

Here are a few pics of the install, and somewhere down the line i didn't measure correctly and made the peice about 1/4 inch too short. You don't really notice it that much but with the flash on the camera it realy stands out. If i have time, i'll make another one. AS you can see i had the switches mounted directly to the cubby, but i didn't like how much wasted space there was.

I think it looks pretty badass.. clean looking DIY thingie. But like someone else said, you should have use those switches that like up just for the coolness/show factor.. I like it!

at first i painted the piece but it looked to much like i made it in my garage, i wanted something that looked more professional, so i wrapped it with a leather looking vinyl and i think it turned out nice.

nice to see someone doing something with that extra space!!! Overall I give your craftsmanship an A+++ but there are so many better switches to choose from. If you car was more of a "stripped" track themed interior I would say those were the best choice, but I think they maybe out-of-place. Also they make CF and all other types of vinyls that may match the car better than black leather for the dash. Advanced Auto has some decent switches. Overall nice job!!!

What did you use to secure the panel?
