Default Factory Homelink System

Ok so i have the Homelink on my Z. But for some reason i cant program the last button. Is anyone else having this problem?? Or is the 3rd button useless. I called the dealer and told them about it, and they said to bring it in. But i dont thinkn they know what to do.

My cousin has a infiniti and he cant program his 3rd button as well.

I assume you were able to successfully program the other two buttons. I only needed one button so I chose the middle one. Keep us posted on what the dealer says.

It should. Homelink works with the new rolling code openers and the old dip switch style openers.

The instructin sheet has the additional steps required to program for the newer technology.

My home is only 4 years old. But for some odd reason i am unable to program my 3rd button. I am going to stop by the dealership mid next week. I will let you guys know what they say. Cuz its really annoying not having the 3rd button work.

Cuz i have 3 car garage. And i can only open one of them.

Actually, I am using the 3rd button, which just happens to be in the middle. So at least on my Z, it works.

Do you have a rolling code garage door opener? It should work with either type.

i took it to the dealer, and of course they said everything checked out. havent had the time or patience to drive back down there and rip so new *******s.

you should call homelink directly. They have a step through process that is nothing like what they have in the owners manual. My father had to call them to get something working on a homelink on another vehicle, but that shouldn't matter. Here's their customer service number.

Some troubleshooting steps if you haven't already tried this:

1) Are you able to program either of the other 2 buttons to open this 3rd garage door?
2) Can you program the right button to open up any other garage door?

It's possible that the receive function of the 3rd door may not be working properly, or may be intermittent.

My third button is the garage door - rolling code on a garage door about 3 years old.

The other buttons control the porch lights and living room light.

My third button is programed to garage opener too. Had to program it twice, but it works fine.
