Default 06 Body Kit fitment issues (Is the dealer a liar?)

Ok so it pains me to ask this because I smell the flames coming already. I don't have a lot of posts because I do search alot but this concerns me alot and my crap attemps of searching "06 body kit" and other similar terms, bring up threads that say the opposite of what this dealer is saying

SOOooo..

I haven 06. From my understanding all FULL body kits fit this year and this includes the 03-05 oem bumper if you wish to use a 03-05 lip. But other than the front lip issue, full fronts should fit and the sides and rear should fit like any other 03-05.

The problem is.. I called Nissan of Brandon (who is supposedly a really awesome dealer that helps out the florida 350z club) told me the Nismo sides and rear don't fit 06's. I said, "no way.." and he began to tell me how someone with an 06 ordered one and it ended up not fitting.

PLEASE PLEASE, say it ain't so or at least help me clear this issue. I don't want to spend big money on OEM stuff that won't fit (not that i mind spending the money for qualitly items)

(and sorry again for this stupid question)

Pretty sure the guy was talking out his pooper. The only major thing bodykit related thing that seperates the '06 from the 03-05 is the lip on the front bumper on the 06. It has a indent in the middle vs the earlier ones that were smooth. This only matters if you're gonna get a lip like you said, if you're gonna replace the whole bumper, shouldn't matter. As far as I know the side/rear shouldn't be any different from 03-05.

I've not read up on every single kit application, so someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but for the most part I think that's correct. The dude may be confused tho because if you go to nissanusa.com/nismo and check their aero components, it will say the stuff is meant for 03-05 models... I think their web guy is just lazy and has not updated in a while.

the person you spoke with is incompetent at understanding the car they sell.

The mounting positions and fitment of side skirts, rear bumpers or rear valences, and FULL front bumpers will work on all Z's from 03-07 universally! UNIVERSALLY take it to a body shop and have it put on, or do the install yourself and have a shop paint the parts

I have a 2006 and installed Nismo sides, rear under and spoiler. Purchased from Marlboro Nissan in Marlboro, MA and fit was perfect. Body shop that did the install told me they fit better than most OEM parts.

The only item that won't work is the Nismo front lip. Grille opening is larger on the 2006 model and indent in lower middle of bumper causes issues with installation.

Hope this helps....

I am begining to believe that all dealers are liers, and at some point they all rode the short bus to the "specail school".

Cheers
