u went to a unprofessional shop that is not known for paint. what they do is go on the computer get the right colors to mix and then test spray on a box or paper what ever they have laying around wiht original paint on ur car. they just put it next to each other and compare if it looks the same they just go on with painting it. u have to look for a shop that a computer that mixes the colors, most shops just mix it themselves.
ask ur insurence what u should do they did pay for it right?

All colors are mixed by hand. Weather they get the right variant or if they blend or panel shoot is another thing. Typical bumpers come prepainted now and dont even match from the factory. Usually there is 2 or 3 variants for most colors but dont rule out an over poor. This is when the formula calls for say 12.3 grams of a certain toney and they poor 12.4. Yeas that .1 gram in paint mixing is a huge mistake.
Another is the quality of the paint and the manufactures toners and formulas.
There is no way you can change the color by waxing and wax should never be used in the first place. all wax does it suffocates your topcoats and people keep putting more on to chance that shine.
I have been painting for 24 years and have seen it all. But nothing prepared me for the slags in japan that work on benzos.
