Unhappy bavaria install

Speedracer or westpack do you have detailed installation tips/pics for the bavaria rear wing? I just got mine and it didn't come with the bolts! Don't ever order anything from KC Aero... I want to put it on but I want to make sure its done right.. I also have the factory rear spoiler already on my Z.. any suggestions on removal?? Thanks in advance!

Personally, I would stronly reccomend having the spoiler installed by a body shop--especially since you didn't get bolts, or the template that Bavaria claimed to have added to their kits. It was a real PITA for me, and I certainly wouldn't do it again.

You stole my car!

Now I have an idea of what my car would look like. Thanks, Speed Racer!

Thumbs up speedracer

Upon second inspection there are 4 nuts/bolts on the bottom of the wing... no template however... I'm assuming 2 of the existing holes will line up with the stock ones...the other 2 need to be drilled? Did u use double sided tape?

I have a question for y'all. I had the Bavaria replica installed like three months ago. The fit wasn't perfect, but the wing looks great. Question is - are the tips supposed to touch the body or not? When the install was completed, one of the tips touched but the other didn't. I took it back to the body shop and they put a spacer under the front base edge of the spoiler (it wasn't flush with the trunk, anyway). Now I'm thinking whether or not to fill that gap or let the tips rest against the body.

If you have the OEM spoiler, two of the bolts line up perfectly. It's a good way to get measurements for the other two holes that do have to be drilled. I also used double sided tape, since the OEM was bolted and taped in a similar fashion.

And remember, with a replica spoiler, fitment will not be perfect (you really do get what you pay for!). Mine lines up perfectly on one side, but sits a tad high on the other.
