what do you think of the mounting? is it gonna be the proper height and alignment? didn't it say universal? no seat mounts the same, does it?

I read that these seats are exact copy of brides so bride seat rails for 350z will mount to these perfectly.

Ok, so who's taking one for the team? My drivers seat is worn pretty badly so I can "justify" getting new seats. I will probably get Corbeau or Sparco seats in the spring but, I have always been curious about eBay seats....

talk to me next week. I need to do an oil and diff fluid change which will be $$$ (motul) so next paycheck we will see (tuesday) I saved the ebay auction... I wan tto talk tot hem about shipping price, cause other places are only 99 bucks... not that it'll stop me since the total will still be under 300. I just worry that the rails are crap or won't fir or will be to tall then I'll have to get custom ones made or try and rig up recaro ones or something.

Look like ship and I bet they feel like ship. There is no reason to change out our stock seats unless you go big ... Recaro, Bride, Sparco or Status. Our seats are very supportive as is ... if you track the car then invest in a seat that will perform. Switchin your seats out for this kind of APC crap will only show negative feedback in your driving and will result in a depreciated value in your car. Dont think Im just all about big names ... just get something that is made well, and is supportive for the track. Otherwise dont bother.

As much as you want them to be brides .. there not. I can garentee they will not hold up in the bolster area .. and would be very interested in see how the color fades. As for leather ones ... ahhh why would you get racing leather seats ??? Looking for a luxerious racing seats haha ??

They are most likely "universal" which means you'llk have to make them work.

how do you know these seats suck? have you tried them? you say you are not all about big names then discount these because you think they are APC. I admit they are probably junk, but they sure LOOK more supportive then the stock seats, christ, my lats don't even fit in the seat. I want more torso support and thigh support than the Z seats give.

The main reason though is the FABRIC WEAR in the Z seats... I should take a pic... my freind's 1990 minivan has less wear and tear on it then these. so I am going to pull them out, get new covers and keep them in storage until I sell my car

and it's sad but some big name seat manufacturers use tube frame construction as well in certain models. if you are happy spending 1200+ for seats awesome, but I cannot afford it and would rather put that money somewhere else.

well if they are nismo knockoffs, I wonder if the nismo seat rails will fit. I think nismo is recaro seats, right? so I could by sliders for them and fit them.... but if they don't I have 200 bucks worth of rails for nothing.

I emailed the seller to see if they had actually fit them to a Z...

+1 You just dont eff around with seats, seatbelts, rollcages, airbags and steering wheels... esp when trying to cut corners or save a quick buck. By no means am I saying dont mod them.. yet find out the facts and take the proper saftey measures ness. to support your mods for safe driving. Stuff that has the R&D.. with tests, approvals etc. It can effect your passenger as well. It just takes the wrong combination/product and your head is now lying on the pavment... and your body is 30 feet away. Of course Im being extreme but you get the point. Again just my .02
