Default Windshield cracked

It happened last friday when I was on 95N. I was listening to music and I heard a loud noise. I knew a rock hit my windshield. I got to my friend's house and there it was a small crack on the driver side windshield(close to the edge) My question is should I bother having it replaced? and how much would you think this will cost?

I was told if you can cover the crack with a dollar bill they should be able to repair it. I've got Geico ins and they covered three chips/cracks my son received in I264 one morning; no ded, and free of charge.

you can fix it yourself, get a windshield repair kit, they are about 10 bucks, look like a syringe (is a syringe really) easy as hell, used them a dozen times for small cracks or chips.

version A on this page is the one I use, buy it at napa or car parts places near you

Most likely the crack with get bigger over time. Normal vibration put stress on the windshield and the crack.

it claims to work on chips, not cracks, but the chemical will flow in the seam and has always worked for me. when you are done and pull the syringe off there will be residual glue....you cut it off with the razor blade at a sharp angle...like you are almost parralel with the glass- don't cut yourself.

one more thing, hold the syringe with one hand when you acctuate the plunger...you don't want to pull it off by accident.
