Default Trunk Rod?

Hello everyone
i just installed an alloy C-west Gt wing,
so the trunk lid struts can't hold the trunk raised due to the increased weight
and i don't think the heavy duty damper works either...
i just wonder if i can do a "trunk support rod" like the hood has...

any suggestions?

thanks!

yes i've been reading all the threads
and i think other spoilers are lighter than this one, so the heavy weight rated struts will work
to open my trunk i even have to exert all my strength on it....

I'm currently selling heavy-duty hatch struts that will support the weight of a hatch and a heavy spoiler installed.

Thanks, although you can't put a price on an "un-injured" head

you might also consider removing rear wiper/motor assembly.
i'm gonna do mine today(dead weight as far as i'm concerned), for cleaner look. i don't drive it in rain much(it's a weekend car for me).
proly used it twice in the last 4 years, just to see it works.

There is also a small weight (about 2 pounds) underneath the hatch that can be removed as well. I had a heavy Nismo spoiler so removing the weight didn't help, but it's worth a shot to try before investing in some new struts.
