Default ???? Changing Z Hoods

Anybody know how hard it is to install a new CF hood and remove the original hood? How does it work if I want to swap hoods with someone? Can I do it in a garage with a few tools or should we go to a shop?

It may take more than 3 mins.... Prob about 5 to install it.. Maybe 20 to drill the latch holes to make them bigger left or right.. and a adjust the bumper latch if needed...

with a decent set of tools and about half an hour from what I've seen you should be able to knock it out.

I might be slightly awkward to go at this alone, but probably could be done with not too much hassle. Just find a buddy and get this done in under 10 min.

i tried putting my cf hood on without my brother's help and it ended up taking me like 4 hours just cuz i was messing up. i had a friend help me align it and bolt it in but it wasn't the bolts that messed me up, it was the latch, i think my brother loosened up the latch a bit and he did it in like 3 minutes. it was the most annoying 4 hours of my life -___-

i forgot to mention that it wouldn't lock because the latch wasn't loosened. if you are having trouble, loosen the latch a bit and try locking it down

nitrouz ran CF hoods (seibon VT, top secret, asuka) without hoodpins...and as far as i know, still does. He's got tons of power to throw at them too. I'd be curious to hear if he ever had any issues

I had hood pins on the Seibon only, because of poor fitment with the latch when closed...I didn't trust it. With everything else, I ran the CF hoods as is.

Went from Seibon VT to Veilside ver. 3 to Top Secret to now Asuka.
