For those who bought the CF Pillar from Gruppe-S recently...
I installed mine earlier this week. Now, it seems like the glue isn't sticking to the pillar. Anyone have this same problem? There are little gaps between the CF part and the stock pillar. I have to keep pushing it down so it'll stick! I cleaned off the stock pillar before I installed it as well...argggh

I'm having the same issue. I clean the piller and carfully aligned and stuck it down But After some time passes little gaps show up along the edges. I keep pressing them down but they keep popping up..

i think this is common with all cf pillars that i've seen. even the varis. i guess the only way is the get better glue/tape. maybe try blow drying it and pressing down on it so it gets heated up and sticks?

I have not seen these, but hopefully this will help
what sort of adhesive was used? just a double sided tape type thing on the back of the new pillar?
If so, I'd first start by setting the new pillars in the sun for about an hour - doesn't necessarily have to be warm out, but in direct sunlight will help
From there, use rubbing alcohol, or even better, lacquer thinner, on the area the new piece is going to stick to. Be careful not to get it on your paint!
Next, using a hairdryer, warm the area the new pillar will go on thoroughly - not till its scortching, but warm to the touch. These will help promote adhesion between the 2 pieces. If they give you a seperate adhesive, put it on the now and let it thoroughly dry before exposing it to any moisture.
I had the Varis ones on my car and never had a problem (I just was not happy with the overal fitment, as they did not line up 100%). I ended up swapping to the NISMO ones and they have been on the car well over a year, through rain, snow, and extreme heat and I've yet to have any issues using the above method.
Post some pics!

I just recently bought the Varis, and had the same issue when I didn't blow dry it. Just use a blow dryer for awhile, and it'll tack up the adhesive, like the instructions on the Varis stated.

I'll try blowdrying them since I already put them on the car...I wonder if Gruppe-S will be doing any exchanges. I bought CF pillars for my e46 a looong time ago and it came w/ instructions + an adhesive promoter. Hopefully the blowdryer could do the trick. I hate to see those gaps because it looks like the pillar is old when it's brand new
