Default Stock hard to beat!

Everybody has to be different. I have looked at others available, but think the stock is clean, simple, stylish and beautiful.

Some of those are very nice, but I'd love to see them installed on an actual Z.

But, I like the stock **** too much to change.

I wanted a new shiftknob for my rsx-s. I never got it, but it needed a nicer looking one. I love the shift **** on my Z. I havn't seen an aftermarket **** that looks as good. I was very impressed when I saw it for the first time. It's stylish and practical. The shape can't be topped IMO.

I have to agree, I really like the factury shifter. But I'm also very interested in the first shift **** shown at the beginning of this thread. Does anybody have a picture of it installed on a Z to see how it looks?

Default A/T shift *****

razo and momo makes a/t shifters that will fit a z. just look for a **** that has no o/d button and it should fit. but just so you know, removal of the oem a/t shifter is kinda difficult.

Those ***** are fine but jump into your car after it has been setting in the sun for a few hours and tell me how the metal ***** feel. You are going to have a hard time holding onto the **** long enough to shift it will be so hot unless you use gloves. I am going to stick with the stock ****...

thats what I was thinking, just the little metal plate in the stock *** is enough to get me shifting with the finger tips not the palm.

I also dont know that the *** would flow as good as the stock does. seems like it would look out of place. I too would want to see a picture. not that it matters, the top one is like 100$ and the second one is just a little less. itd have to make the car ALOT better looking for me to consider buying it, and I dont think a **** can change enough; and no way could the ergonomics of it be better, looks uncomforable if anything.

Ive heard of shifters that are molded to your hands... that intrigues me.

The stock shift **** IS hard to beat. But I remember the leather **** on my 240SX started to peel after a while. So I'm getting a Nismo one and gonna save the stock one. No one else had that happen?

Yeah, I imagine that the leather on the **** will get pretty ratty after a while from the sun and sweat from your hands. My ideal choice would be a t-style shifter handle made from a black resin. I have always like the t-style over just a plain ****.
