Depends on who wants the hood back, however if I were the OP, as a show of good faith and to guarantee there's no reversal of the chargeback, I would eat the shipping and send the hood back.

If it were true that the OP did receive his $650 back, then I would pick-up the hood. According to paypal, he has not received the $650 and really doesn't even have a case against me. They suggested I wait until the chargeback process is finished.

in the composites world... curing the plastics yields high heat. the heat can distort the final product and/or the mold itself... so it's imperative to use the mold only for a certain amount of time or castings out of it. if seibon did produce an aluminum mold, then well... this problem would have a 5% of occuring, but everyone knows milling aluminum for 1 product is more expensive than my overly-ripe gonads. lastly, pulling out the casting without properly curing the plastics will distort the product itself. vacuum bagging the product onto the mold will yield more successful results.
in the business world, i can imagine seibon pulling out the products as soon as possible to meet the demands of the clients, but wtf do i know about bidnezz?
sad to see how this transaction gone horribly wrong. can't really prove innocence of murder to the judge ithout sufficient evidence and only by word (or texts in this case)... so be fair next time, OP.
anyway, both luck to best of you two.

So who is a reputable and good dealer to purchase carbon fiber hoods and other products on this forum? Maybe a thread like this would be better and more helpful than starting a flame throwing thread part deux or trois, and never seems to end? Just MHO.

hee..hee..welcome to replica's world. I know exactly what the problem of the OP had. I had the same issue with my hood back then. It's just a bad batch from Seibon. You and the bodyshop need to find a solution for it. Yes, the hood WILL NOT align all perfectly as OEM hood. Yes, you will see some small gap but that how it is. (this is base on the picture you posted)
