Motormouth these hoods are not a 10th of the price as the originals. We are not talking about a cai for $25 vs $250. We're talking about 650 vs 1-1.5k. There is a big difference.

and just so I am clear, I am not happy that seibon hoods aren't great quality, but I am not naive to think there isn't a reason it is cheaper. From reading, carbon fiber parts are not easy to make in volume. it takes skill.

I think seibon should man up and start producing better hoods.

 

i got screwed over by seibon also. i bought a lip and i went over to seibon and they tried to fit a lip on my car. and the lip was off by like 3inches. they tried to force fit it and the lip was all cracked and they said it fits but not that well. It was #$$kin all bent and they said it fits. they wouldnt let me return the lip. i was $$%$ing pissed off. i thought they were famous, but they are extremely shady adn messed up. They got three nice mercedes there. I felt like bashing my crappy seibon lip on them for all the crappy product they tried to sell.

Its more then a handful of people who have problems with their products. Im one of them that got screwed over. If you dont believe what some of us say, then so be it and go buy yourselves some seibon parts at your own risk adn maybe youll get a good product and maybe you wont. And if you dont, goodluck buddy. forced fit and the inner piece in the well is angled. looks like sh*t and lip is all cracked. on the outside, the lip stick out like 1.5 inches out more than the other because it does not fit correctly.
