I just bought the clear markers for my '06 and installed Blue Batmobile's smoked overlays. Here is a picture of my Z with the smoked overlays:

I smoked my own just yesterday! No, I didn't paint over the clear cover or use overlays, I did something unique to the reflector itself. Will post pics in the next few days.

smoked side markers suck. you can still see the amber. get the clear ones and use an overlay.

Should add that I've smoked my 'clear' reflectors.

How do you install the overlays on the clear corners? Can we install them without taking them off the car?

Im also on the look but no one makes any '06 smoked. Best bet would be to use Bat's overlay...quality stuff had them all over my Celica.

You dont need to remove to install clear corner overlays for the Z. Just a lil soap and water and lay on top... it is a flat surface so it should be easy. Brake lights are lil more difficult due to the fact that it is curved. Thats where the hair dryer comes in... You use that to mold the overlay on.

Also, use a credit card to spread the overlay flat on the surface. This method helps remove excess water under the overlays. The size & stiffness of the credit card makes it the perfect tool for this process.

This is probably the only time you get to use a credit card without costing you a penny!

Its easier to apply my Overlays if you leave the lense intacked. Better leverage .
