Default Pics of 30% Titanium Tint on rear window and small side windows on a SilverStone

My girl decided to not get the side windows tinted because of the window grease problem. We did the medical tape trick today and it seemed to work. I think she plans to get the sides done after some time to see if the grease come back or not.

The titanium tint is perfect IMO, not too reflective but has a nice subtle metallic look to it.

Do a search on here for "window grease" there were several people who used cloth medical tape on the side windows were the grease is. Raise and lower the window a lot, remove tape and repeat. The grease has actually come back, but it is like 85% less than before so we are going to do it again next weekend. This has worked for some, but not for others.

Well I figured why not try to fix it myself..... Why have your door panels and window taken out if you can get rid of the grease with some medical tape? Now if it does not work then we will definately bring to dealer.....

Default Cost?

I was thinking of getting the titanium tint myself. How much did you get your tint done?

It cost $130 to have rear window and two small side windows tinted. Lifetime warranty.

Thanks Raistlin.

Wow $130, that's pretty cheap!! I got quoted $219. Do you know if your titanium tint was made by 3M? Thanks again.

FYI $130 did not include the two large side windows, just the two small windows on side that do no go up or down. Total price for Titanium on all the windows is in the $230 - $250 range. Pretty sure the tint is by Llumar or equivelant brand.

You got a deal!! The tinting place I asked quoted $219 for only the 3 rear windows. I'm in Northern California, and driver/passenger window tints are illegal. I was surprised with the quote having to tint such small window area, but the guy said 3m or Llumar titaniums were $100 more then conventional tints due to better material. Do you mind telling me where you're located at, and where you got the tint done? If it's close to my area, maybe I'll go to the shop where you got your's done. Can't believe it's $100 more here, maybe it's the cost of living in California. Thanks again...

I am located in New Jersey..... kinda a long drive for you!!

I got my 2002 Audi A4 tinted at the same place for the same price and I have two more windows than the Z!! The price had since gone up when my girl got ger Z tinted. But the place only charges $50 extra for Titanium.
