basically what they did was heat the dent with a blow dryer for 30-60 seconds and then right after turn a bottle of computer keyboard cleaner upside down and spray the heated part for 10 seconds. Don't go try this right away though...that's why I wanted to ask around here to see if anyone has done this.

The only problem I see is that paint has different properties than metal. So if it is subjected to extreme temperature swing like that it might not be good for it.

as long as the coat is even it shouldnt peel off or bubble. They have different thermal expansion coefficients but the paint is so thin, it should be able to bend a little bit.

You know what, i have heard about this before. I was told (key phrase) about a guy that took a lot of hail damage out by letting the car sit in the sun for a while and putting something cold under the surface.

Also...i had some hail damage on a civic and the following summer almost all of the dents came out.

Ive got an old *** suburban that has a perfect door ding in the side. Ill see if i can't try it this weekend.
Only bad thing i see happening is when the dent pops, so will the paint right off the car.
