I just got a CF V1 lip so I tried to take off my CF front lip cover (the one that covers the middle front bumper area) but the damn 3M tape was so sticky I had to yank off the cover. It kind of cracked in two places but the shape is still good. I was wondering if there's any way to repair it. I think it's made from dry carbon but I'm not sure. It could be fiberglass, but it's really thin and light. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

cant repair the crack. Just sand it down and paint over it... maybe silver would look nice?

I would have to see pics. I cracked my Seibon VT hood. My hood is painted so it was easier to fix. The body shop cut a v groove ,filled it with a new 3m bonding agent, sanded it and then painted. It came out unbelievable. Good luck.

Pretty much what everyone else has said. There's no real repair so that it looks ok. Structurally, you can fix. Cosmetically, you can't.

How about some epoxy into the crack and seal over it with some clear coat.

Would it be a good idea to use epoxy to fill in sink holes in CF hoods, I call them sink holes becuase thats what the look like when you look at them at an angle.

If it's a crack that meshes back together with no voids, you can use some resin + fiberglass mat, and repair it on the inside.

If you have take it to someone that knows that they are doing, and have them gelcoat/reclear, you can pretty much make the cracks invisible.

Resin and FRP mat can be found at your local Home Depot.
