Oem Paint
Just found this really intristing and was wondering if my 03 chrome silver touring z slipped through quality control. I took it to a friend of the family to have a dent in the rear bumper fixed. Upon inspecting my Z He said he was baffled that Nissan let my car through with the rear bumper being 4 or 5 shades off from the Panels and hatch paint. I looked confused because it dosnt look off, even after inspecting it. But when i knew what to look for and stood at the right angle i noticed my shadow darkness looked diffrent beetween the rear bumper and the quators/hatch. Just wondering if alot of Z's are like this. Or if i just got stuck with one that slipped through. Im guessing its because all parts come from diffrent plants and they come together to be assembled. What do you guys think?

Yea thats how it works, i do paint and bodywork for a living, and the reason is plastic parts tend to produce a slightly different shade, even though its the same paint. There is not much to correct this, even look at BMW they are probably the best at this but they still have a slight difference in color.
