Default Help!!! Where To Get 3m Vhb Tapes?

Anyone knows a good online place or local in orange county to get 3M HBV(Very high bond) tape (black color) , not the 3M gray color tape that pep boys has?

I am about to install stillen spoiler on my 350z. Is there any other material or glue I can use?

Thanks

When the double sided tape failed on my sides, I used 3M weatherstrip adhesive that I had lying around from using it to glue my sew ups to my rims. Only a serious bicyclist will understand that last part.

Use molding tape from 3m... it's good stuff. I have a huge roll of it that I stole from a bodyshop. It's around 40 bucks a roll!

I'll have to brush off the dust and the cob webs to see. I haven't ridden in a long time. Are sew ups still being used?

Excellent link.
I was able to find 3M #4929 tape with around 5 yards for 20 bucks.
This should be good enough for Stillen spoiler.

Yes, i ordered the VHB tapes from the link above. It's called "3M VHP Acrylic tape #4929" with 3/4 width.

I'll give it a shot this weekend.

UPDATE: Folks!!! I tested this tape with 2 flat pieces of plastic. I left it there for 3 hours...OMG, it's permanent. I could not separate them. I used my full strength to pull them apart.....I couldn't.

Recommend this tape for bodykit or spoiler installation w/o drilling holes.

nice dude, i'm gonna installing my stillen spoiler next week, i'm getting holes from my nismo wing filled, btw the a-hole that had the wing on the car before me, used some sort of silicone adhesive, and that **** is not coming off the car, so i'm having my friend at the body shop sand it down and repaint

i really don't want to drill holes for the stillen, i hope this stuff can hold the spoiler down strong enough without damaging the paint

told ya good stuff right there. i have seen where some have taken this tape and added the OEM spoiler without drilling, and those suckers are still stuck on there.
