Molding and fiberglass quality
Fellas, I got questions for you guys. I just picked up the MSA Suzuka Rear Skirt an its made out of Reaction Injection Moulding (RIM) Urethane. I wanted to mold it on but the auto body is telling me that if they mold it I might see some type of swelling or other imperfection during the change in weather. I live in NJ and I am going ot Ultimate Collesion in Edison, ( pretty good Auto Body). Is this true or what? I seen some nice molded Z bumpers with this kit and they look pretty good but you never know whats under the paint.
2nd question is I got the Sarona fenders and damn man they are light, should I add some fiberglass to the inside of it or just live it alone. The auto body said they will spray some stuff to fill all the holes and cracks in it. What about making it more durable or is it okay? Need answers fellas, car going in next week for work.

Coming from someone who just put the sarona fender's on, I hope you got deep pockets or a better set than what I got! I would never mold anything onto my car for 2 reasons:
1.CAnt reverse
2.It will crack sooner or later

You really shouldn't have any swelling problems until you go putting fiberglass or urethane onto sheet metal. Just have them use a good urethane adhesive to adhere the skirts. Then some kitty hair on the outside to mold it.
I don't know a lot about those fenders. I really wouldn't mess with them. You might pick up some spray on truck bedliner and spray the back side of them. This really wouldn't do much, but it would be a little security. If you crack them it should be a pretty good hit to begin with.

If done right urethane on urethane will not crack, unless under extreme circumstances.

hahaha, well its a little to late to even question if the fenders are good or not because I have them already. It's going to cost about 1K plus or minus 2bills.
As far as the rear skir they are saying that the bumper and the kit are 2 different of urethane so as they expand and contract from the weather, its going to cause swelling. Mainly because they change at different rates.
