For awhile now I have been looking into repraying my car, but recently I have been thinking of a color change. I wanna go Matte Black. One because I havent seen any Z in it and 2 because it looks Really nice and sleeperish. I was also thinking of spraying my rims gloss black.
at first i thought it was black with no clear but I learned that it is the acctual clear that causes the matte finish. Alot of my friends have been telling me no its gonna look cheap but idk. How much does a color change usualy cost? I have about 3 grand so far.

I think it will look good.. Why gloss the rims though? Why not match? Leave the lip polished pls..

That Civic looks like more of a charcoal than black. But if you want to do a proper job, you're going to have get the door jams, hatch jams, and engine bay painted to flat black also, otherwise it'll look silly when you open the hood/doors/hatch. A complete color change is usually alot of work, but hey, if you got the money then I guess anything is possible.

I do like the flat black finish though, I think it will look nice.

 

we had a 350z meet at a local detailing shop and that ferrari with the gold wheels was there...the guy has full exhaust intake back headers back is just straight pipe...the thing was loud as helllll...let me see if i can find a cell phone vid

supra crazy, do you know a good body shop in South Florida already? I'm looking for one bad. Someone talented enough to paint on carbon fiber and such.

I know of a Z that is painted flat/matte black...let me look around.

edit: Well i thought that Toykilla over on "tech" painted his matte black but i can't find anything. Maybe someone else can assist.

a buddy of mine did his car like this.. its a grand prix.. but i think it looks good

 

eh not feeling it. ITS defiinitely gangster... but i'd take a ferrari in RED and tan seats any day over that black one.

 

Not my cup o' tea either, but not my car. I'd question the idea of a black car in So. Florida anyway.

 

It'll look clean if you also got the headlights done in matte black. Also, get rid of your wheels and pick up a set of Time Attacks... THAT would be hot.
