Default More comfortable seats...

I realize that a Z isn't usually a daily driver but I have had some issues with my back and the combo of the seat position and the heavy clutch I have (aftermarket) does anyone know a way to make the stock seats more comforatable or even doing a swap with a G35 or something like that. Thanks for any help

My Z is a 03' performance with of course cloth manual seats.

Default that may work...

it may work but it is a little ghetto... I would really rather something a little more than an accessory...

Not "ghetto" at all. It installs between the seat cover and the seat so it's invisible.

For me and others that have added them, they make all the difference in the world. I have taken several long road trips (5, 8, 12 hours) in the 350 and don't arrive feeling tired, sore or hurting. BTW - I'm not a young kid so comfortable is important to me.

Between the lumbar support and proper seat position, you ought to be able to find a "happy place". Seat adjustment and placement is very important. It took me a few weeks and several positions to find the right combination.

^Those work well, I have one that I put in friends vehicles when I ride with them because of my back after my accident.

How can it fit under the seat. Im tall so theres a lot of stress on my mid and lower back when im in the car. It hurts after 30 minutes or even less of driving.

It doesn't fit under the seat, it fits between the back cushion and the seat cover, just like the link says.

If you lean the seat forward and look behind it, down at the bottom of the seat back there is a long clip-like device at the bottom. You unhook it then work the bladder between the seat cover and the foam backing. Rehook the clip to close it. Pump the bulb to inflate the bladder then enjoy.

Sounds like a great idea, but I have a Touring and the drivers seat doesn't have a release that lets it lean forward. I love the seats, but for those long trips a better lumbar support would be nice.

How do you adjust the angle of the back of the seat without that release? How do you get into the box behind the passenger seat unless you lean it forward?

The passenger seat has the release on the side and in the back below the headrest. The drivers seat doesn't.

BUT, I'm a dumb ***. I just went to investigate to see about putting that lumbar thing in the drivers side. The driver's seat back is electric and I never tried seeing how far it would tilt forward by getting out of the car and reaching over for the electric switch. It takes awhile, but it does tilt almost as far forward as the manual passenger's side(which only is electric 2-way).

Also, even bigger a dumb ***, I realized that the seat back has discreet zippers on both sides to simply unzip the back to get to the internals.

Thanks for the heads up and the reality check!
