Question Ouch...made a boo boo; need a bandaid.

So...I made the biggest mistake of my life the other day. I let someone else drive my Z. Needless to say I thought he was a good driver and I was wrong. My front bumper ate the curb and its all sorts of f'd up. So I need some adivce!
I have a price range of 600.
I want to repaint the entire car (I know a painter at a pro shop so he said 300$ for the full car repainted any color I want)
I need a new bumper for 300$ or less that will look good with the stock body kit on the 350z 2003 track.
The car is silver now, which I like but I want a change, Im thinking of Nissan blue or Glossy black. (Open to suggestions)
If yall could post back with their opinions (besides making him pay for it/never letting anyone drive the car again), Id really appreciate.
Name some bumper suggestions(with links please) and throw in your color preference for the 350, Ill take anything within reason into consideration and will post a newly painted picture of my babyZ after shes all painted up.
Thanks again yall.
-Mike

Dude any paint Job that only costs 300 Bucks is going to be a crappy 1. I pay 300 just to paint a front bumper. You want to re-paint the entire car a different color and all for 300 bucks. WOW!

Im at school as of now, but Ill get some pictures when I get home.

The price for the paint job is low because the guy painting it is a family friend, he is only charging me for the paint, not the labor.

Wow, you found someone to repaint an entire car for you for only $300? That's about the cost of just getting a bumper painted! I say you thank your friend for messing your car up, and giving you the opportunity to get new paint and a new front end....if this is a economy paint job though I would advise against it.

If you are doing a color change, I suggest going for a non-factory color.

I'd stick with the color you have now and spend the money on a decent bumper and paint for it. Painting the car not only lowers the resale value but aftermarket paint jobs are usually never as good as factory paint.

+1 on this if you want a new bumper go for it but keep it the same color as what you have now.

If you got a lot of money and want a real color change go for it but only if you have a lot of money. The worst thing you can do is a crappy aftermarket paint job. 300 bucks even from a "friend" is most likely a crappy job. There is a lot of work in getting a whole car prepped and painted

Factory paint is the way to go as much as possible.

either you have REALLY good friends that are willing to do the painting for free, or you're about to have a Maaco quality paint job.

get another quote on painting the entire car another color, and you'll see what we are saying. I got a quote on getting a nismo V2 painted to match my superblack, and it was a little over the cost of your entire paint job.
