Default How to paint my V2...

Alright, I've spent many hours looking at pictures and trying to decide how to paint my V2. I'm pretty much set on no canards, however the V2 offers a lot of paint options. I didn't bother finding pictures of all examples of paint schemes for this thread. I'm looking for the opinion of V2 owners so you guys already know how it looks...

Here are the options (car is DB)

1.) Painted bumper with blacked out grill

2.) Painted bumper with painted DB "H" grill and blacked out tow hook area.

3.) Painted bumper with painted DB horizontal member and blacked out tow hook and vertical grill members.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I like the look of option (3- all painted except for horiz. bar) but most are not, cause of the floating in the middle of nowhere look......

I saw option 3, because it gives you an option when you get bored, to just throw a piece of black vinyl over the DB horizontal bar, to make the entire mouth area black, when you want.

goddamnit... this thread is not helping. Its about down the middle on the votes.

Who has a v2 that can give some insight? I'm personally leaning towards option 3 but I still like both 1 & 2... I just wish I could see all 3 options in person. There are very few z's around me and none of them are modded

I know this not one of your options, but I did all one color and used a stainless mesh and formed and epoxyed it the bumper. Just thought I would show you another option.

Wow!! I would smack who ever painted that bumper! The paint is way off!! Paint the tow hook panel black as well when you get the bumper re-shot.

Here's how it should be done IMO.

Thats real sexy w/o the tow hook piece. However, does this affect structural stability and I'm assuming you had to paint the silver tow hook.

Ninja350z,
I plan to do what i like best and I'm not doing what other people tell me. However, I'm smart enough to know I don't know everything. I haven't gotten a chance to even see this bumper in person. So feedback from actual owners it vital. If one owner originally painted it one way and then changed I would love to know why. I'm all about learning from the veterans.

I have no bumper so I have no tow hook. I have a Greddy TT and you have to remove the bumper.

The structural integrity is not affected by removing the tow hook cover. It's fiberglass so it's very rigid. This is an original NISMO bumper. I cannot attest to the structural integrity of a replica.

I see, well it looks like your bodyshop did a very nice job of cutting and repairing the removed tow hook section. I'm def considering this as an option. I do like the look of the "floating" center member however I wonder if the effect is lost in high light situations and you are left with a bumper that appear strangly painted (especially on a darker color such as DB)...

What you have going on may be a better solution... any pics of it on the car???
