Hey guys, with your V2 bumpers do you use any type of "Grill" or "mesh" behind it? I got my v2 without it and I want to see if I need to get fabricate a grill for it or not. Thanks!

Nah I still love it. However, I have an opportunity to get my bumper and hood painted for the same price so I figure it's a great chance to go for the V2. I passed on the v1 to a member in NJ and he's gonna enjoy that. I love the v1 but the v2 will flow with the look I got going on right now more. Check out the v2 sitting in my garage

 

Yeah..... I bought the diamond XXL universal mesh grill in aluminum powdercoated black from this company. It looks great.

Mine is small diamond aluminum powdercoated black.
You can't hardly see the radiator because meshs are tight. I would go for XXL if you are
planning to go FI to show off the FMIC!
I preferred this one because it was looking close to authentic nismo grill.

 

I use the mesh on mine too, although mine is genuine so it comes with the mesh

 

Mine came with the Mesh grill. I would use one anyhow to protect my intercooler.

 

i'm curious how you guys are installing the mesh on the bumpers. What type of hooks or hardware did you use? Have pictures?

I'm thinking about getting this grill. What is the dimension of the grill? There are two sizes on the website

Also, only real authentic nismo v2 and Tommy(punkster)'s v2 bumper comes with rubber hooks attached with bumper for grill placement..others come flat. Others will have to make a holes to secure the grill.

 

Evo-R comes with Hooks as well

 

Anyone have any shots of an Ings N-spec with mesh? Since I dont have a turbo and an intercooler to go with it yet (definately no interfooler), I was thinking of putting mesh in. Anyone?

 

I have the authentic NISMO V2. The authentic mesh is cutout behind the tow hook cover so when I removed the tow hook cover I had to buy new mesh. The authentic mesh is also cut out for the cold air intake which I am not using either ssince I have a TT kit.

I use the mesh with mine as well. I think it makes the bumper look complete.

 

I use the mesh; mine bought from customgrille. You just need to buy the "standard cut" sized grille for an OEM opening - that works just fine.
