Just some basic info on this unit:

Simple layout and combined body - Unit allows you to make the best use of limited dashboard space by displaying various input digital.

　

Combine Stack ST200 analogue tachometer as standard equipment - RD-1 display features high precision and reliable analogue tachometer STACK ST200. Dial face color and scale is selectable.

　

Multiple channel display - RD-1 displays various information to convey the clear picture of the vehicle conditions

　

Selectable display pattern - Variation of display pattern is selectable. Correspond to sport and street driving condition.

1. Normal Mode - The unit assumes street driving and mainly displays speed, water temp., fuel level, and travel

distance.

2. Racing Mode - the unit assumes sport driving and mainly displays speed, water temp., oil temp., oil pres., and lap-

time.

3. Setting mode - The unit assumes engine or computer setting and mainly displays RPM, boost pres., injector duty,

and fuel pres,. Also, able to make effective use of the unit by entering air-fuel ratio and throttle divergence in to

universal input channel (VOLT-1 and 2). * Air-fuel ratio meter is not included.

　

Function to analyze driving data - Data analyzing functions can be used after circuit or test driving.

1. Peak-hold - Displays memorized peak value.

2. Data display - Displays loads mass-storage maximum of 30 minutes data recording. Replay speed can be adjusted

such as slow-motion and fast-forward.

3. Lap-time - Times laps manually during circuit driving. External stop watch switch is connectable to input

4. Lap chart - Memorizes and displays up to 99 laps on the chart screen.

　

Easy search jog dial - Jog dial simplifies the operation of display search and function setting.

　

Indicator lamp - RD-1 display is supplied with indicator lamp as standard. This allows you to replace dashboard instruments without hindering functions and visibility.

Nice, but for $1500+ I would want the tach to Zero out when not on.

The bennifits of owning a G. If I wanted to install one, which I do eventually, I could do it on my car, but it wouldn't work on the Z's since your cluster is kinda funky.
