Just wondering if anyone has ever tried to route out the kickplates and backlight them with some LEDs or something using some clear plastic behind the kickplate.

A lot of cars have them now- was just driving my boss's bmw 6-series and kind of liked the way they looked. Haven't seen any on here and did a quick search but didn't find anything.

I'm thinking of trying this out. Anyone know of any reason why it wouldn't work out?
