Default Seibon TS hood clearance problem?

I just got a TS hood from Carbonlimited on friday. Great looking hood and very well packaged. Thanks Jim! But as i was doing to test fit, for some reason the center section of the hood was rubbing against my Kinetix V+ plenum as it closes; which it prevented the hood from latching. When I tried to pushed the hood in to latch, i noticed the center section of the hood would bulge out. Does anyone have a problem with the hood with Kinetix plenums? Any advice on how i can fix this problem? Any advice would be appreciated. I also raised the stock tower bar to clear the plenum as well.

put some washers and adjust your latch all the way up. I just installed my VT a few days ago and I had the same problem. I'm running a 5/16 motordyne spacer with greedy strut bar on my setup. After I added a few washers, problem solved.

yup the vents look cool and get some of the heat out but the also always manage to hit something. took me almost three months to figure out what the vents were hitting. But after that they fit fine.

Give the washers a try, otherwise there have been members who cut the under skeleton.

i have the V+ plenum, it rubs on the stock hood too. well at least mine does, it rubs on the inner structure. i just bent some of the inner structure a little and it doesnt rub anymore. if thats were yours rubs, just dremel a small spot on the inner structure of the TS. its just fiberglass, and you only need to remove a very little amount. i have a TS that i havent installed yet, but thats what im going to do.

I thought you were selling that hood? Hey man if you keep it and get it to fit, I would love to see that hood in person.

I cut the underside. Still more than stron enough. Washers is just hoig to make the hood stick up to high at the hinges.

Yes, but i think i will try to cut the underside to make it fit. I'm sure it will fit with the washers at the hinges. If it does not fit, then i wili sell it.
