If you have an 07 dont worry about switching the bulbs. Your projectors from a distance already make your headlights look blue and *cool* to oncoming cars. You just don't notice because all you see is the white light being shined onto the road. Turn yoru lights on and go walk about 50 yards away. Your headlights look blue even after they have been warmedup.

I also notice this. Whenever I see another Z at night they look a lot bluer than the way mine look. But I know mine look the same way to them.

all these threads just goes to show how severely uninformed all you guys are. The color every desires has absolutely NOTHING to do with kelvin rating and EVERYTHING to do with the lens and cut-off shield that make up the projector. Having anything other than pure white light is ricer. Having a colorfull cutoff due to a proper projector setup is what HIDs are all about.

8000K, 9000K, 10000K <- all are ricers.... pass the soy sauce

guess what, they use a ~4300K rated capsule from either phillips/hella or sylvania/osram. The lens and cut-off in the projector refract the light to give you the color you think looks "so sick" . Attempting to replicate that color with a **** brand 8000K+ rated capsule is juvenile, naive, stupid, and very so much ricer

meh to each his own I love them and thats what counts .

I know I sacrficed ouptput but I'm still putting out more than half the cars out there. I know about the cutoff color has to do with the lenses and what not. Thing is they(lenses) are not readily available and I did not want to blow $300+ on bulbs .

Dont need to go hasty on someone just because of the mods they choose.

just buy the philips ultinon 6000k and call it a day, that's probably as blue as you can get without sacrificing too much light output.

If you need a pair let me know. I can get them for you at a good price.

Relax. If you look into the science behind bulb color and output, you too would consider 8000K bulbs a remarkably stupid choice. 99% of people just assume that higher Ks mean more light, not less, and that the color will allow them to replicate BMW/Audi look which is completely wrong as Zivman pointed out. Nothing is better suited for all-weather driving that the OEM Philipps bulbs in the 06+ true-projectors.

Ziv, I'm ManiZ on the HID Planet forums. Been looking for clear 2.9" diameter lenses for a while to replace my 06 projectors with. Those who have them, aren't usually willing to sell lenses alone. So I just added lens spacing for now while I find a set; gave me a nice color band (albeit diffused, unlike Hak's lights above, or G35driver's).

I bought my Z with 8000k and I hate them. They are way too blue and I can't see **** in the canyon. I just got some 6000k's and much better.

Good, was going to go with 6k anyway. Today i parked next to a Z with 06 headlights and noticed the 07 lenses are a lot bigger. Wonder why they did that.

This is hilarious because you owned yourself.....He was contributing something good as well as safe.......Hes showing you how to get what you want without sacrificing light output which in turn makes you see better which in turn can help you save your or someone elses life......Dont be such a thin skinned vagina....
