What about putting it in the passenger side cup holder in the dash. You may need to put a cup in it first to hold the phone depending on its size.

I have a Treo and I keep it in my case and store my case in the cubby between the seats. I have a bt so I don't need access to my phone.

The '06 & '07 have a little tray there in the dash to hold change or cards. I clip mine there as the front DC outlet is just below it. The jack and cord fit in the net on the passenger side of the tranny hump when not needed.

An alternative is to buy one of those non slip pads(rubbery both sides) made to lay your phone on. I place that on the back of the console and the charger then is plugged in all the time to the rear DC outlet.

Ever since I got the D3 with BT, it doesn't matter where you put the phone in the car,

Sideways, the RAZR fits like a glove atop the slide-out cover for the center console cup holders in '06+, so that's where mine sits as well.

I have a bracketron mount in my f-150, but unfortunately they don't have one for 350's.

as to headsets, I have a plantronics Voyager 510 that is pretty nice. My wife and a couple of friends have them too, and all are happy with them. They are in the $40 range from newegg.com.
